Worked for Durgapur steel plant, SAIL. Resigned as Deputy Manager in 1998.

Joined SYNERGY GROUP, Durgapur as one of the
directors.
As part of SYNERGY GROUP actively involved in
promoting and managing the following enterprises:
-NIIT Computer centres in most of the places of south Bengal
-NSHM Knowledge campus, Durgapur, and Kolkata , a
leading college in Bengal running various undergraduate and
postgraduate professional programme.
-Synergy Biotechnology: a tissue culture unit having 5 million
capacity.
-Synergy Renewable energy: a fully export oriented unit
manufacturing solar photovoltaic modules. Capacity 20 MW
per annum.
